Weekend Supervisor – Friday to Sunday

We are looking for a reliable and experienced weekend coordinator for 22 hours a week, over 3 days, Friday to Sunday. This is a great opportunity to join an exciting and innovative organisation. This is for an IMMEDIATE START. Lots of support and training provided.

We are a unique social enterprise called The Sherriff Centre, based in St James Church in West Hampstead, NW6. Within the fully functioning church is West Hampstead’s Post Office, The Sanctuary Café, Hullabaloo children’s soft play and Icon gift shop. Hullabaloo also run’s children’s parties at the weekend, an important part of our operation. All business elements operate as one, and are run and managed by a centre manager and management team. All of our profits go to our charity, also called The Sherriff Centre, which runs a debt advice service, this is not operational at the weekend and not part of this post’s remit.

The hours are:
FRIDAY 12 – 6 pm. On Friday’s you will set up the party room, check all equipment and liaise with section managers to ensure all is ready for the weekend trade.

SATURDAY 8 – 6. You will oversee all operational elements, specifically the soft play and parties. You will take the lead if any decision is required, support other staff and in the event of sickness or absence you will find cover or provide cover yourself.

SUNDAY 12.30 – 6.30. We run 2 children’s parties on a Sunday afternoon but the centre is closed to the public. Your role on a Sunday is again to oversee the party hosts and café staff and ensure high standards are maintained..

You must have:
Excellent customer service skills and experience
Excellent communication skills
The ability to motivate and supervise staff
Be reliable and punctual
Excellent English
Mature, professional attitude
Have the ability to lead and make decisions
Have the ability to remain calm under pressure
The ability to set up and put away equipment

The post holder will work on a rotation of 4 weekends on, 1 weekend off.

Part Time Café Staff

We are looking for experienced and flexible café workers to join the team at our beautiful and unusual café set in St James Church, West Hampstead.

You will have great interpersonal skills, ability to take direction and work within a small team, experience of working in a busy environment, food preparation and great coffee knowledge.
Fluent English an absolute must.
